A New Newborn Favorite

Hey there,
This was definitely one of my favorite shoots to date. There were some great places to shoot in this client's home, and we took our time to get it just right. I have many favorites, some of which are below.

A dog and his...

...rival! This duo was just too cute when we were attempting to shoot them on the bed. First off, the dog is normally NEVER allowed on the bed, so suffice to say that he was totally confused about that development :-). To top it off, that red ball was just calling his name. Fortunately, we got the shot (and then some). Kudos to both dog and sweet baby for pulling it off!

A new favorite

Hi Everyone,
Every once in a while, I come across a picture I've taken that becomes a new favorite. Such is the case for #1 - below. This family of 3 (originally), suddenly became a family of 5 overnight. These pictures do a great job - in my humble opinion - of disguising the chaos that is to come.

A Chilly Day at the Beach

As the subject line suggests, it was a windy and very cool day down at The Beaches in Toronto. Despite hats, runny noses, and sleeves pulled over hands - all went well, and both of these kids were real troopers. Their favorite part was definitely the actual beach and water - which we visited only in the last 5 minutes or so. I mean, hey, what are beach pics without the beach!

The small chair in the second picture was a gift from a friend of mine with 5 kids, who had used it for all of their 1 year old portrait sessions. Alas, after child #5 turned 1, my friend passed on the chair to me - as she was quite sure she wasn't having any more kids :-). Suffice to say that I have used that chair many times since. So - thanks Cindi Loo!

Sigh...those yummy newborns :-)

This is definitely a new favorite for me. I loved the purple comforter and the muslin baby wrap - accentuated with beautiful sunshine. Newborns are not necessarily classically beautiful (as we all know), but I must say that this little princess was stunning. Her sister was clearly happy to have her around as well :-).

Two Under Two

These two children were so vibrant in their personalities. The young boy was non-stop fun, and the little girl was as sweet as pumpkin pie.
