A Nap Well-Earned!

This little tyke was a hoot overall and very good natured for most of the shoot. At the end of our session, I was trying to get a shot of the little man in a basket under a big tree. He made it clear that he was not at all interested in my plan, and also let me know that he was very tired. Alas, I rocked him to sleep and - with the help of a great bench on the client's porch - managed to get these beauties in at the very end. As you can see in the 2nd picture, we managed to get the dog to snuggle in beside the babe, which he was very happy to do.

Sometimes they take my breath away...

I was setting up for my mini sessions that are taking place on Saturday of this coming weekend, and my two kids were milling about while I was setting up. They both wanted to be part of the 'test' process. Alas, I only took probably 7 or 8 pictures in total, but my children managed to do me proud in spite of it being a super 'mini' shoot :-). Thanks for looking.

A lot can change in 8 months!

These lovely twins were first photographed back in October of 2007 (still one of my favorite newborn shoots), and then again recently, at 8 months. They were a sheer delight to photograph, and clearly quite a bit rounder than they were as newborns :-). Just looks at those lovely soft arms!

Ahhh...Summer has Arrived!

Hi there,
Summer has officially arrived and the majority of my sessions are outdoor from here on in for the remainder of the summer. I always love to shoot outdoors - not only because of the richness of the colours, but because it also gives me more creative license. This lad was a typical (almost) 6 year old boy in many ways. We had a lot of fun together during this session.
Thanks for looking.

Babe in a Bowl

This baby was only 9 days old, and 6 pounds when I we did her first photo session. I asked the client if she had any interesting bowls or baskets, and out came the most fabulous tear-shaped bowl. We had a great time with that bowl, and overall, this baby was a sheer delight to photograph. This shoot shows why I strongly encourage newborn shoots in the home (versus in my studio), as there is so much more room for creativity. I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Dog Gone It!

Hey Everyone,
I was recently asked by one of our babysitters if I could take some photos of her sweet dog named Shine, as she wanted to put up some enlargements of him in her home. Taking pictures of dogs is generally not my thing, but I have to say that Shine made it all worth while!
Thanks for looking!

Sweet Angel

This lovely little cherub was lively and bubbly from start to finish. The entire shoot was conducted in a bedroom that was beautifully lit by natural window light. It is safe to say that a good time was had by all :-).
Thanks for looking.
