Babe in a Bowl

This baby was only 9 days old, and 6 pounds when I we did her first photo session. I asked the client if she had any interesting bowls or baskets, and out came the most fabulous tear-shaped bowl. We had a great time with that bowl, and overall, this baby was a sheer delight to photograph. This shoot shows why I strongly encourage newborn shoots in the home (versus in my studio), as there is so much more room for creativity. I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Dog Gone It!

Hey Everyone,
I was recently asked by one of our babysitters if I could take some photos of her sweet dog named Shine, as she wanted to put up some enlargements of him in her home. Taking pictures of dogs is generally not my thing, but I have to say that Shine made it all worth while!
Thanks for looking!

Sweet Angel

This lovely little cherub was lively and bubbly from start to finish. The entire shoot was conducted in a bedroom that was beautifully lit by natural window light. It is safe to say that a good time was had by all :-).
Thanks for looking.

Sign 'em Up

It's no surprise that these two kids have a Mom who is a professional model, as they totally look the part as well. Suffice to say that this was a lively session :-).
Thanks for looking.

The Soft Skin of Youth

When this sweet girl arrived, I was immediately struck by her smooth and beautiful skin, and then struck once again when I processed this teaser for the client. Her strong gaze and big, beautiful eyes just drew me right in.

One Small Bedroom

One of the things I love about on-location shooting, in someone else's home, is that I never know what to expect, or where I will find the light. At a recent shoot, seen below, I found a bright little bedroom, with great window light. Thus, I went to work using the bed and wall as a backdrop, in addition to pulling out my black backdrop for a little more variety. These two kids were a treat to work with, which always makes my job so much easier!
Thanks for looking :-).

Sisters

These two cuties were a sight for sore eyes, and clearly they were good friends already. I really enjoyed hanging out with them for a couple of hours, and took a few decent pictures to boot!
Thanks for looking :-).
